Each year, there are a couple of movies khatrimaza that go unnoticed in the barometer Box office and even the critics can not do justice to the film at the end of the day. These films are underestimated then relegated to film festivals and other such scenarios, which may or may not be financially rewarding for the people behind the films. Here are three grossly underrated movies that were released in recent times, films took over superhero movies and action rides senseless were the talk of town that week, month and year.
No. 3 Manorama Six Feet Under
This film ranks so low on the list because he managed to make a buzz before release, and that's only because I had Abhay Deol, Gul Panag, Raima Sen and Sarika in the film. Murder mysteries are never a good idea for the Bollywood box office, and this was not just a murder mystery, was a political thriller that had some shades of sexual offenses also. Not only the concept, but the script and direction were so bright that people somehow failed to understand what the movie was about. Others might say that Dor is the movie that made Gul Panag, but we believe it is his subtle performance of a common house loves it be love people more than the Dor character. This is the role that defines the career of Abhay Deol, and if you have not seen in this role, I have not seen anywhere.
No. 2 Striker
The front is one of those unfortunate films released during a sudden bandh, and the film never reached Saturday. The film is starring Siddharth and Aditya Panscholi in a career defining and redefining the role, and is one of the films that hit harder than gave people a brutal and realistic look at the world of crime in the seventies, eighties and nineties. The film is in Malwani Malad, two areas that have been used routinely in Bollywood films, from the iconic Don climax in the place where one of the main protagonists of Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion lived, but nobody has been able to capture the misery and culture that has Malwani.
Overall, while the film tells the story of a young woman who tries to stay away from the mafia, crime and corruption, which really tells the story of how an entire city changed from a simple fisherman and the world merchant something that was much, much darker and evil than what could be found even in the comic writing pulp fiction rather the West. The front does believe there is a Gotham in each city, state and country, waiting to be discovered.
